HIRING PROCESS

  • Stage 1: Registration
  • Stage 2: You will be notified about assessments and their timelines.
  • Stage 3: Once done, you will be invited for a virtual video interview if you meet their selection criteria.
  • Stage 4: After the interview, they will assess your overall performance to select you for Associate Software Engineer (ASE) or Advanced Associate Software Engineer (Advanced ASE).
  • Stage 5: Announcement of the results and they will e-mail the Letter of Intent (LOI) to selected students.

SELECTION PROCESS

Divided into three Stages:

  1. Cognitive, Technical & Coding Assessment (Elimination round)
  2. Communication Assessment (Non Elimination round)
  3. Interview (Elimination round)

COGNITIVE & TECHNICAL ASSESSMENT

Cognitive

  • English Ability: Error spotting, Reading comprehension, Jumbled paragraphs, Sentence completion, Tenses, Prepositions, Articles, synonyms, antonyms, and similar topics are asked.
  • Critical Reasoning and Problem-Solving: Questions based on data arrangements, data sufficiency, syllogisms
  • Abstract Reasoning: Coding and decoding, Odd Man Out, Number series, encrypting, and other similar topics were asked.

Technical

  • Common Applications and MS Office: Basic questions from Microsoft Word, (e.g. shortcut keys ) Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Pseudo code: You must trace the Pseudocode and identify the correct output.
  • Networking Security and Cloud There were questions about cryptography, network security, databases, cloud computing etc.
  • 90 questions 90 minutes.
  • You can navigate between sections and also questions.
  • 50 questions on verbal, Reasoning and Numerical ability.
  • 40 questions on pseudo-code, MS Office, Networking, security and cloud.

CODING ASSESSMENT

  • 2 questions in 45 mins.
  • Languages supported: C, C++, Java, Python
  • Two strings were given, and we had to find out the no of percentages.

COMMUNICATION ASSESSMENT

This round had 6 sections:

Section 1: Reading

Here you need to read the sentence displayed on screen.

Section 2: Listening

Here you need to listen to the voice and repeat it as it is

Section 3: Q&A

Simple questions are asked that need to be answered like yes/no, one-word answer questions.

Section 4: Jumbled sentences

You hear a sentence in jumbled form which you need to reorder and repeat.

Section 5: Retelling a story

Here you are narrated a story that you need to repeat in your own words.

Section 6: Speaking

In this section, you will be given two questions or topics and you will have to speak for about a minute or more.

INTERVIEW

Questions asked were:

  • First, he introduced himself and asked me to introduce myself and my social life.
  • Asked me to explain one of my projects, which was my industry project
  • Inquired about any problems you encountered during projects and how you tackled them.
  • How do you handle failure?
  • What is your least favourite subject?
  • One interesting fact about Accenture you know? When I mentioned Accenture’s song VFX, he asked me to give an idea for VFX.
  • Any questions for me?

SUGGESTIONS

  • Practice aptitude, manage time well, use resources like PALR and India Bix, attempt all questions in online tests (no negative marking), and aim to complete both coding questions for advantage and confidence in subsequent rounds.
  • For the communication round Ensure clear communication with no background noise, use a wired microphone with a mic and proper internet, pay close attention to one-time instructions during the assessment, speak slowly and clearly, and stay within the time limit.
  • For the interview Make sure you know every concept you mentioned in your resume. Be thorough with your projects. Do not try to bluff in the interview. The interviewers are well experienced and will cross-questions whenever required.
  • Be confident and keep a smile, research the company, and prepare answers to common interview questions.
