Accenture Interview Experience

Hello Beginner,

I Applied through College. These will assist you with planning for both Accenture specialized meeting rounds just as the Accenture HR meet round.

Round 1: Online Aptitude Test

The first round consisted of 50 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) focusing on various aspects, including quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, and technical knowledge. The test duration was one hour.

Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning:

  • These sections were challenging and required intuitive problem-solving skills rather than straightforward formula applications.
  • The questions were not overly difficult but were tricky and required careful consideration.

Suggestion:

  • Practice extensively from websites like w3wiki, Indiabix, and other similar resources to build confidence and proficiency in solving problems quickly and accurately.

Technical Aptitude:

  • Covered topics such as computer networks, operating systems, data structures (especially trees), digital electronics, and microprocessors.
  • Included C output questions that tested practical programming knowledge.

Suggestion:

Regularly take quizzes and practice problems on w3wiki to stay updated on various technical subjects.

Tips:

  • Stay calm and composed during the test. With 50 questions in 60 minutes, time management is crucial.
  • If a question seems too time-consuming, move on and return to it later if time permits.

Round 2: Technical Interview Round 1

Project Discussion:

  • My project was based on REST APIs, so the interviewer delved into detailed questions about REST (Why, How, etc.).
  • I was asked to design a REST API for a specific part of my project and later for an Uber Cab service scenario with 5 lakh drivers.

System Design:

  • Explained how to handle numerous requests efficiently using concepts like Load Balancer, Sharding, Master-Slave architecture, etc.
  • The interviewer was pleased with my understanding and explanations.

Coding Task:

  • Required to write code from the front end to the back end for a specific request, involving technologies such as JavaScript, Ajax, JSON, jQuery, servlet, and MySQL.
  • Successfully wrote a comprehensive 2-page code that satisfied the interviewer.

Sorting Problem:

  • Given a problem that required sorting, I used Java’s Comparator and provided the corresponding code.

MVC Architecture Discussion:

  • Discussed the differences and benefits of using MVC architecture when accessing a site like weather.com compared to not using MVC.
  • Utilized diagrams extensively to explain concepts clearly.

Tips:

  • Use diagrams and visual aids to explain complex ideas effectively. I used several pages to illustrate my points during this interview.

Round 3: Technical Interview Round 2

Project Discussions:

  • Further discussions on my projects, including specific technologies used like REST and SOAP.
  • Talked about the use of eXist-db (Native XML Database) and MySQL, leading to a comparison between SQL and NoSQL databases based on various scenarios provided by the interviewer.
  • Discussed what happens when one Ajax call is still running, and another is sent before the first one returns.
  • Asked to write a JavaScript code for a simple login form.
  • Be thorough with every detail in your resume, as you might be questioned about any part of it.

Round 4: Managerial Round

  • Questions focused on team management and handling conflicts within a team.
  • Discussed technological and managerial challenges faced during project execution.
  • Provided solutions to hypothetical team conflict scenarios.

Technological Discussion:

  • Talked about the technologies I am familiar with and my preferred project, explaining why I liked it the most.

Round 5: HR Round

Personal Introduction:

  • Typical questions about myself, my unique qualities, and differentiating factors from others.

Extracurricular Activities:

  • Discussed the extracurricular activities mentioned in my resume and how they contribute to my overall profile.

Team Conflict:

  • Answered questions on handling team conflicts and provided examples.

Future Plans:

  • Talked about my plans, including any aspirations for further studies.

Location Constraints:

  • Discussed any location preferences or constraints.
