AFCAT Full Form – Air Force Common Admission Test
AFCAT Full Form: The full form of AFCAT is Air Force Common Admission Test. AFCAT is conducted two times a year (February & August) by the Indian Air Force for its Technical & Non-Technical (Flying Branch and Ground Duty) posts. It is a section for both male and female candidates who wish to join the Indian Air Force for both Short Service Commission in Flying Branch and Short Service/Permanent Commission in Ground Duties for both Technical and Non-Technical occupations.

- Both males and females are eligible
- Up-and-comers must be a resident of India
Age Limitation Details of AFCAT
- For Flying Branch: The age limit is 20-24 years. Candidates holding a legitimate and current DGCA (India) Commercial Pilot License, can apply as long as for 26 years.
- For Ground Duty: The age limit is 20-26 years.
Instructive Qualifications Details of AFCAT
- Flying Branch: Completed the graduation degree with 60% marks and probably scored 60% passed Physics and Mathematics in class twelfth.
- Technical Branch: Qualified for a 4-year Degree and having finished Sections A & B examination of Associate Membership of the Indian Institute of Engineers or Aeronautical society with at least 60% marks.
- Ground Duty (Non-Technical): Qualified B.Com graduate with at least 60% aggregate marks. For the purpose of training Official posts, the applicants ought to have MBA /MCA or MA/MSC degree in respective subjects like English/Physics/Mathematics/International Studies/Chemistry/Defense studies/Computer Science/IT/Management/Journalism/Public Relation with at least 50% marks and have scored at least 60% marks in graduation.

- English: Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion, Synonyms & Antonyms, Idioms and Phrases, Testing of Vocabulary.
- General Awareness: History, Geography, Civics, Politics, Current Affairs, Environmental Science, Basic Science, Defense, Art, Culture, Sports and so on.
- Numerical Ability: Number System, Fraction, Decimal, Time & Work, Average, Profit & Loss, Percentage, Proportion & Simple Interest, LCM & HCF, Time & Distance.
- Reasoning & Military Aptitude Test: Odd one out, Analogy, Venn Diagram, Pattern Completion, Blood Relation, Missing Figures, Coding & Decoding, Spotting the Embedded Figures and Sequencing.
