Round 1 (Aptitude)

  • Conducted on the Amcat global website.
  • General aptitude questions covering quants, verbal, logical reasoning, and domain-related topics.
  • Sequential answering (no skipping).

Round 2 (Automata Test – Coding)

  • Coding test with easy questions.
  • You had to solve 2 problems.
  • Examples: Sum of digits, counting occurrences of one string in another (given s1 and s2).
  • 80% – 70% of candidates advanced to the next round.

Round 3 (Group Discussion – GD)

  • Topics included:
    • Digital Payment – safe or not?
    • Strategy vs. execution.
    • India’s readiness for self-driving cars.
    • Impact of mobile gaming on youth.
    • Fake news and its societal impact.
    • Future of Artificial Intelligence.
    • Online education vs. offline education.

One topic for a team (7 to 9 members) was discussed for 30 minutes with two panel members.

Round 4 (Technical + HR Interview)

  • Arrived with excitement and nervousness. Waited over 3.5 hours due to unforeseen circumstances. Met a panel of technical and HR representatives.
    • Started with “Tell me about yourself.”
    • Detailed project and internship walkthrough.
    • SQL-based questions (joins, triggers, keys).
    • Tailored questions based on preferred domain.
    • Problem-solving assessment (finding the missing number in an array).
    • Managerial questions to demonstrate teamwork and decision-making.

Despite not receiving an offer, learned valuable lessons in patience, professionalism, and resume skills.

Remember, each experience contributes to growth, and the right fit will come along eventually!
