Cedcoss Technologies Interview Experience (On-Campus)

When Cedcoss Technologies came to our campus to scout for Associate Software Engineers. Despite the event being on campus, the recruitment procedure unfolded entirely in the digital realm. Here’s a glimpse into how I navigated the coding challenges presented at each stage of the process:

Recruitment Process Overview:

Online Test:

I began my journey with Cedcoss Technologies by participating in an online test, which encompassed aptitude, logical reasoning, verbal reasoning, and coding exercises. The questions were quite challenging, but I managed to tackle them by relying on my problem-solving abilities and technical knowledge.

Technical Deep Dives:

Clearing the online test was just the beginning. Next came two rounds of in-depth technical interviews. Here, the focus shifted to my technical prowess and real-world experience:

  • Technical Interview 1: This round was all about my projects. I was grilled on the engineering projects I’d undertaken during my studies. I was prepared to discuss my motivations for choosing these projects, the specific technologies I used, and the challenges I overcame. It felt great to showcase my practical experience and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical Interview 2: Here, the focus shifted to core technical concepts. They threw questions related to database management systems (DBMS), operating systems (OS), and the fundamentals of networking. These were areas I’d been diligently preparing for, so I felt confident in my responses.

Machine Coding Round in Lucknow:

Just when I thought the online phase was over, Cedcoss threw another curveball. They invited shortlisted candidates, including myself, to their Lucknow office for a machine coding round! This wasn’t part of the initial process description, but I was up for the challenge. The prospect of showcasing my coding skills in a new environment was both exciting and nerve-wracking.

HR Interview:

The final stage of the recruitment process was the HR interview, where I faced standard HR questions such as “Tell me about yourself” and “Why do you want to work for our company?” I seized this opportunity to showcase my communication skills, professionalism, and alignment with Cedcoss Technologies’ culture and values.

Selection Criteria:

Cedcoss Technologies had specific eligibility criteria for candidates:

  • MCA: 65% & above
  • B.Tech/Graduation: 65% & above
  • XIIth: 65% & above
  • Xth: 65% & above
  • No current backlogs

Recruitment Outcome:

While Cedcoss shortlisted a significant number of students after the interview process, the final decision took an unexpected turn. After a month of waiting, they informed us that they were unsure about extending employment offers. This experience highlighted the importance of keeping your job search options open and actively pursuing other opportunities throughout the recruitment process.

Despite the unexpected ending, the Cedcoss recruitment journey was a valuable experience. It tested my coding skills, technical knowledge, and soft skills dynamically. While the Lucknow trip didn’t materialize, I’m grateful for the opportunity to have competed and learned from the entire process.
