Cloud Deployment Model

Cloud Deployment Model defines the type of access to the cloud, i.e., how the cloud is located?

Cloud can be access in 4 types:

  1. Public Cloud:
Public cloud allows system and services to be easily accessible to general public. Public cloud could also be less secure attributable to its openness e.g. Email
  2. Private Cloud:
Private cloud allows systems and services to be accessible within an organisation. It offers accrued security attributable to its personal nature.
  3. Community Cloud:
Community cloud allows system and services to be accessible by group of organisation.
  4. Hybrid Cloud:
Hybrid cloud is a mixture of private and public cloud. However, the critical activities are performed using private cloud while non critical activities are performed using public cloud.

Benefits of Deployment model:

  • In Payroll processing:
Processing time and hardware requirements are reduced as well as elasticity enabled for future expansion.
  • In Astronomic data processing:
Energy costs and hardware requirements are reduced.Administration is simplified.
  • In Central Government:
IT expertise consolidate and hardware requirements are reduced.
  • In Local Government:
IT expertise consolidate and hardware requirements are reduced.
