Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University Campus Experience

Today, I want to tell you about Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University. I am currently pursuing my B.Tech here. This university primarily focuses on special and physically disabled children. The university has a good campus, and the B.Tech program is self-financed. When I was admitted here, the university only accepted CUET-qualified students, but now they allow direct entry for B.Tech, and the fees for direct admissions are higher than for CUET-qualified students.

We also refer to the B.Tech program as IET DSMNRU, and they are trying to separate it from the university. They do not have a lab for the CSE branch, and there is no permanent faculty, so teachers are often not interested in teaching the students. There is no requirement for daily attendance, although they are now working more strictly on studies, discipline, and attendance.

When I joined this university, they had a good faculty, but after the first year, they did not have faculty. The university has no clubs. As I mentioned earlier, the university is especially for people with disabilities, so after a month or six months, conflicts arise with the teachers or administration due to issues with the disabled students.

They do not have a good campus placement program. The university has a PPO, but they do not provide funds to them. Overall, the university is not good for management and engineering courses (like BBA, B.Tech, MBA, M.Tech).

If you want to be admitted here, choose this university only if you want to prepare for something else because they do not conduct regular classes, so you will have time for preparation.

“University students have no excitement for any events like tech fests and similar activities. Only students who have no knowledge about the university or who only want a degree join here.”
