Fidelity International Work Experience
I worked here as an FTC – Intern at Gurgaon for 2 months & what I can surely say is that this place has a lot to offer. They work on a lot of emerging technologies like blockchain, full-stack web development, cybersecurity, metaverse, LLM and many more. After onboarding the team, mentors and buddies are assigned who play a crucial role by providing a well-defined roadmap to the new joiners. They monitor each task very closely and reports are generated daily. I worked on blockchain & web development and got an industrial-level experience in these domains.
During my internship, I got to work with the Innovation Garage team which is responsible for developing new ideas & projects that will be useful to the company. I worked on a project that used blockchain and cloud consortium framework (CCF) to build a more secure crypto wallet. My mentor was very helpful and kept daily updates on the project and all team members progress. Regular meetings with the HR team and managers were conducted where I had to explain what work had been completed, any challenges & how much progress I had made on the project.
Then they would address my issues if any and guide me through the project. Kiosks were also conducted where my team explained our project idea & how it is different from existing systems. The organisation treated all interns with high priority & guided us properly in each step of the project & made sure we didn’t face much burden & completed the project on time. Monthly connect activities were also conducted where I was able to connect with many people globally and gain their experiences.
They follow a systematic approach & follow strict timelines but the projects contributed to my core development, especially as a CSE background student. They also offer many other facilities like cab service, food for free and courses that anyone can take for their self-development, many techno-cultural fests are also conducted. It’s a great place to join no matter you’re from which background, a diversity-inclusive and focused finance-based company.
