FIITJEE Coaching for JEE Mains and JEE Advanced (Tuition and Intermediate)

I joined FIITJEE in 10th grade, managing my school board preparation as well as JEE coaching. I had 2 of my classmates attending the same coaching institute, hence I was not alone.

The admission process for joining FIITJEE for tuition was through Big Bang test that FIITJEE conducts. I received a 60% scholarship, and since my brother was former student, I got an additional 10% off.

Handling board examinations preparation and JEE coaching was not that difficult. As most of the topics of my school were covered in FIITJEE coaching classes in fact they had more depth and taught more precisely. We also had English, Biology, Social Science classes along with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. FIITJEE coaching classes were from 6 PM till 8 PM, there was plenty of time for me to get ready.

The most important benefit of joining FIITJEE coaching was :

  • FIITJEE Material. My school teachers often could not solve those questions, but the faculty at FIITJEE could. It provided in depth knowledge of the subject and working through the material provided helped me prepare for my board exams more thoroughly than I expected.
  • Weekly JEE pattern exams. We used to have MAINS and ADVANCED exams, this provided us time to adapt and learn how to attempt the examination.

My board exams passed and I joined FIITJEE for my intermediate classes as well as JEE coaching.

FIITJEE conducts a test known as Reshuffling test. Based on the performance, each student was placed into a specific batch. The hierarchy was as follows:

  1. CMB (Cult Metamorphosis Batch) : Top 40 people of Reshuffling batch.
  2. JU-1 (Junior 1) : Next 40 students
  3. JU-2 (Junior 2) : Next 40 students
  4. JU-3 (Junior 3) : Next 40 students

The classroom strength was always kept at 40 or fewer students. Each classroom was fully air conditioned and equipped with top-class facilities. I performed decently in my reshuffling test and got into SJU-1(S stands for “Shanthi Nagar”, place where the campus was located).

Material for JEE preparation, mock test and top notch faculty are few things FIITJEE is known for, but the hard truth is that students in lower batches do not get as good treatment as top batch students.

They teach for the intermediate examinations as well, I scored decent enough in them. My faculty always mentioned about how important JEE preparation is compared to Intermediate examinations.

Reshuffling test is conducted once in a year, but this time they also considered marks from phase exams along with reshuffling test.

The hierarchy was the same :

  1. CMB (Cult Metamorphosis Batch) : Top 40 people of Reshuffling batch.
  2. SA-1 (Senior 1) : Next 40 students
  3. SA-2 (Senior 2) : Next 40 students
  4. SA-3 (Senior 3) : Next 40 students

In my second year, I was reshuffled to SA-1(Senior A-1).

This time, I had the Heads of Departments (HODs) for of all subjects teaching my batch, the same faculty that taught CMB. The conceptual clarity these mentors possessed was exceptional, and I was really happy that I get to study under such valuable guidance. Time passed, but my score is not up to the mark, thanks to the revision sessions organized by FIITJEE, my issues with conceptual clarity were resolved. As exams approached, we were given previous years’ questions PYQs of JEE Mains and Advanced along with problems prepared by FIITJEE faculties. These were literal gems and helped me gain conceptual clarity.

I took numerous mock tests, analyzed my mistakes with the faculty, understood key errors, and worked on them. As a result, I was able to crack JEE Mains with 98.17%ile and qualified JEE Advanced with a rank of 16,874. Although I did not get into IITs, I secured a spot in a college and branch I like : ECE at NIT Kurukshetra.
