Gen AI Awadh Summit, AKTU Lucknow – Techfest Experience
I was lucky to be given the opportunity to attend and volunteer at the Gen AI Awadh Summit organized at AKTU, Lucknow on 25th May, 2024. The event was organized by TensorFlow User Group (TFUG), Lucknow, an awesome community of like-minded tech enthusiasts to which I am honored to connect with. Volunteering at such events is always worth it as one gets to connect with people who are doing well in the domains of one’s interest. Such events not only help us gain knowledge but also improve connections and networks across various colleges of the city and supposedly, people across the whole country.
The event began at 11 a.m. in the seminar hall at AKTU where we were first briefed about the Innovation Hub at AKTU. We were well explained the importance of such incubation centres as we obviously need support and funds to bring our ideas and projects to life and bring about revolutions.
Following it, sessions were lined up by eminent speakers on developing speech technologies in under-resourced Indian language, Large Language Models in cybersecurity: Google’s Sec-PaLM and Cloud Security AI Workbench, Crafting visions with Gemini, Fine-Tuning Google’s Large Language Model Gemma with Keras NLP, and lastly prompt engineering. Each speaker session had more to deliver than I had thought of. As an emerging developer, such insights on the process and applications of AI have enhanced my knowledge and guided me on my journey as a tech enthusiast.
After speaker sessions, the winners of the AI/ML hackathon conducted a day before were felicitated. Soon after the wrap up of the summit, speakers were available to connect with and discuss any queries. I got the opportunity to connect with some eminent persons.
A community which I was made aware of at the event was Lucknow AI labs which is committed to fostering a welcoming community of tech enthusiasts and great minds across Lucknow. The community is doing its best to implement and pass on emerging technologies to young tech enthusiasts through such events and social media. I am impressed by how actively the community is contributing to the advancement of each other and I would highly recommend all tech enthusiasts in Lucknow to connect with Lucknow AI Labs.
I have so many takeaways from the summit that I’ll forever be grateful to be given this opportunity. I am motivated to attend all further events organized by the TFUG community and Lucknow AI Labs.
