What is Anvil in Minecraft?

An anvil is a block in Minecraft made with Iron Blocks and Iron Nuggets. It serves an important purpose for players who like to enchant or upgrade their items and tools. However, all this comes with the cost of Experience (XP) Points which you gain when killing mobs.

Press the ‘esc’ key to exit from the furnace interface and right-click on the crafting table to use it.

Step 5: Making Iron Blocks

Place 3 Iron Nuggets in each box inside the crafting table interface, as shown in the following image. This will create 3 Iron Blocks.

While pressing ‘Left Shift’, Right-click on the Iron Block inside the result box of the crafting table. This will allow you to take all three Iron Blocks in a single click. After taking the Iron Blocks, Place them in your inventory.

Step 6: Making Anvil

  1. Place the created Iron Blocks in the Top row of the Crafting Table interface.
  2. Place one Iron Nugget in the middle box of the second row of the Crafting Table interface.
  3. Place the remaining Iron Nuggets in the last row of the Crafting Table interface.

Step 7: Move the Anvil into your Inventory

Left-click on the resultant anvil inside the result box of the crafting table interface and place it into your inventory.
