IBM Interview Experience
Recently IBM came to our campus for hiring. Many students registered for the opportunity. In the pre-placement talk they told us that there will be two rounds in the entire process. The description of rounds according to my experience is as follows:
Test (Verbal and Mental Ability)
- Verbal Ability: Assesses your understanding of the English language. The questions were based on grammar, preposition, paragraph-based questions etc.
- Mental Ability: Includes logical reasoning, data interpretation, and quantitative aptitude.
- For developer roles, there may be a coding test with logic-based questions.
Technical Interview
- The interview started with the DSA questions, he asked me first questions with Stack data structure and then one more question with Array.
- Apart that the questions asked from the profile you applied for (e.g, Cloud, IBM Cloud).
- By the Interview Experience, I found that for cloud-related roles, knowledge of services like PaaS, SaaS, IaaS, and popular frameworks (AWS, Azure) is essential.
Tips
- Focus on building a strong foundation.
- Aptitude and logic are crucial for learning new technologies.
- For developer roles, concentrate on Data Structures, Operating Systems, DAA, and COA.
Remember, a solid understanding of fundamentals and logical thinking will enhance your chances of securing an internship in technical roles at IBM or similar companies.
