IET Lucknow BioSpark 2024 Experience

BioSpark 2024 , held at Instiute of Engineering and Technology, the Engineering college of Lucknow. I attended the event as a attendee and it was an inspiring experience. The event, held on National Science Day, showcased Uttar Pradesh as a burgeoning hub for innovation in indigenous technologies.

The day began with registration nd a warm welcome at the Ram Prasad Bismil Auditorium. By 10:00 AM, the inaugural session commenced with moderation and opening remarks by Dr. Neha Verma, setting a professional and enthusiastic tone. The lamp lighting ceremony followed, accompanied by addresses from distinguished guests: Dr. BN Mishra, HOD of Institute of Engineering and Technology and Dean R&D at Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University , Dr. Vineet Kansal, Director of Institute of Engineering and Technology and Dr. J.P. Pandey, Vice Chancellor of Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University. Each emphasized the importance of biotechnology and innovation in the region. We then watched insightful video messages from leading experts such as Dr. Shakti Vinay Shukla, Dr. Sanjay Mishra, and Dr. Gautam Ghosh, which highlighted current advancements and future prospects in biotechnology. A standout moment was the address by Dr. G.N. Singh, the Chief Minister’s Scientific Advisor, who spoke passionately about the role of science in societal advancement. This was followed by Dr. Rakesh Kumar Khandal, Chancellor of SDGI Global University, sharing his vision for the future of tech-driven education.

The session concluded with an address by Shri Awanish Kumar Awasthi, Chief Advisor to the Hon’ble Chief Minister , Uttar Pradesh and a final video message from Dr. Renu Swaroop and Dr. Jitendra Sharma, adding international perspectives to the discourse.

Dr. Anuj Sharma’s vote of thanks wrapped up the session, appreciating the contributions of all speakers and participants. BioSpark 2024 was not only a celebration of scientific achievement but also a testament to the collaborative spirit driving technological innovation in Uttar Pradesh.
