Institute of Engineering and Technology, DAVV, Indore Admission Experience

Navigating the Admission Process at IET DAVV: A Gateway to Excellence

The Institute of Engineering & Technology, DAVV commonly referred to as IET DAVV is the engineering college of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya. IET DAVV is a state government college of Madhya Pradesh. IET DAVV intakes admission based on the result of JEE MAINS. The college was established in 1996 and since then the college has grown exponentially.

When I first heard IET DAVV, I wasn’t sure if I should join a new-age state government college. But after three years in this college, I feel like it was a good decision to join the institute. At IET DAVV, students are not just learners but active participants in the future shaping of the institute. The college boasts several clubs such as Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell IET DAVV), Goonj(Music), Pratyaksh(Dramatics), Feedbox, NSS, Admission Cell, Placement Cell, and many more. The college’s calendar is full of events that add vibrancy to campus life. From tech fests and cultural festivals to hackathons and sports tournaments, there’s never a dull moment at IET DAVV.

Being a member of the admission cell I’ll break down the admission process of IET DAVV:

The admission in IET DAVV is done based on counseling of MP-DTE. The counseling helps the students to secure admission in the college based on JEE mains rank and percentile. You may check the website here for the previous year ccutoffstoff’s and learn more about counseling. As mentioned above the students here are given a sense of responsibility as the whole admission process is done by the students of IET DAVV under the administration of IET DAVV.

When a student is allotted IET DAVV in the counseling process. The student has to visit the campus in the given period for the admission process. The student must bring all the necessary documents for the admission process. The student has to reach the M-Block, Administration block of IET DAVV for the complete admission process. When reached the student will be asked to submit all the documents (original as well as one photocopy of each) to the admission cell members. The members will carry out the whole process and call the student to pay the admission fees, after which the student will be provided with a receipt and the admission process is completed for the student. The student then has to visit the college website for the commencement of the college.

I am a pre-final year student penning this experience letter so that IET DAVV gets the recognition it deserves. Three years down the line I have enjoyed every day here. If you are a student wishing to join this institute, a bit of advice to you: Don’t come here with a baggage of expectations, but come with an open heart to learn and experience a college life that you will cherish forever.
