KPIT Technologies Interview Experience (On-Campus)
KPIT Technologies conducted an on-campus recruitment drive for various roles in Pune and Bangalore.
First Round (A Platform Test):
Sections:
- Section 1: Aptitude
- Section 2: English
- Section 3: Puzzles
- Section 4: Coding Questions (2) – Medium Level Difficulty
Details:
- Each section had a specific time limit.
- No negative marking.
- MCQs in the first 3 sections were worth 1 mark each.
- The first coding question was worth 2 marks; the second, 3 marks.
- Students who performed well in the first 3 sections but couldn’t solve coding questions were also shortlisted.
Second Round (Technical Interview):
Duration: 30 minutes max.
Format:
- Introduction, Project Details, Internship Experience.
- Basic questions on C and C++ (loops, switch, file management).
- OOP focuses on Inheritance, Polymorphism, etc.
- No SQL or DBMS questions.
- Basic CPP coding questions to assess logic and explanation ability.
Third Round (HR Interview):
Duration: 30 minutes max.
Details:
- Not to be taken lightly, as many rejections occurred in this round.
- Focus on project discussions (videos of projects in working state, documentation).
- Scenario-based questions on teamwork, office culture, and workflow:
- Reporting issues.
- Handling mistakes when the lead is on leave.
- Dealing with co-worker strategies.
- Questions on interests and hobbies:
- Strengths and weaknesses.
- Self-description in three words.
- Recent movie/show watched and lessons learned.
Tips:
- Focus on accurately answering MCQs.
- Allocate time-based on question marks.
- Keep a project in a deployed state for demonstration (useful for all companies).
- Take the HR round seriously; answer questions concisely.
Note:
- Every round was conducted online.
- Job Location: Likely Bangalore for ENTC or Electrical students, and Pune for IT and CS students.
