LPU (Lovely Professional University) Campus Experience

LPU is known for its excellent infrastructure. Apart from the beautiful hostels and campus buildings, the campus has beautiful hangout spots tea points, cafeterias, and many more. I have seen the massive labs and food units in the college which makes me fond of this campus. Due to a strong alumni network, the infrastructure of LPU has seen major developments with new and better buildings coming up and every class being installed with air conditioners. The large auditorium is also provided to conduct events like convocation and to address other speakers.

I was deeply interested in cutlery courses offered by LPU which made me join the institute for a three-year degree. The courses offered by the institute were vast in terms of course structure and the training provided by them. Right from the first year, we were taught about the art of designing food menus that would entice the public, everybody was encouraged to use creative ideas and I enjoyed the whole process. I learned a lot in the first two years, I learned how to design a menu, how to follow a recipe, and accurately select the ingredients needed to make a dish. I also joined an internship in JW Marriott in the third year where I put all my skills gained into real life and served some major clients. The internship was the most memorable time since I learnt a lot and made some great memories. I had gathered a lifetime of experience and was fully prepared to face what life had to offer me.

LPU has ensured that learning and studying go hand-in-hand and this is done by organizing regular fests. These fests are key instruments for socializing with people from other colleges and enhancing your communication skills by taking the position of responsibility. I have had the honour to be a part of these annual fests and witness some great singers like Sunidhi Chauhan, comedians like Anurag Bassi and some great dance groups. These fests were organized just after our exams to ensure we could fully enjoy ourselves.

By the end of 3^rd year, the college had become a home to me and it was very difficult to leave this place. I finished my journey in college and decided to pursue my education further and obtain a master’s degree. College has given me learnings that will stay with me throughout my life and will help in every part of my life. With all the friends I made, all the memories I made and all the learnings I got, I applied for further studies.
