MRC Bhopal Coaching Experience For IIT-JEE Exam Preparation

I decided to embark on my JEE Main and Advanced exam preparation journey during my 11th grade, which led me to choose MRC Classes. This coaching institute wasn’t my initial choice, but the story behind how I ended up there is quite interesting.

In my 10th standard, I secured the top position in my state (MP Board). Following this achievement, I appeared for the Super100 exams conducted by the MP government. These exams are open to all government school students in MP, and the top 100 performers are selected. The selected students are then granted free admission to either Bhopal or Indore Excellence Schools and receive free coaching for JEE/NEET or CA exams.

Given the opportunity, I opted for Bhopal Excellence School as it was conveniently located near my house. As part of the Super100 scheme, MRC Classes were assigned to us for JEE exam preparation, despite the presence of other coaching centres in Bhopal like Akash and FIITJEE.

So, while I didn’t initially choose MRC Classes for my coaching, fate had other plans, and it turned out to be a beneficial journey for my JEE preparation.

When I joined the coaching, I encountered a challenge: I came from a Hindi medium background until the 10th grade, but the coaching was conducted in English. Initially, I felt a bit intimidated and worried if I would be able to understand everything properly. However, I decided to stay patient and give it my best shot. Surprisingly, within just one week, I found myself getting more comfortable with the English medium teaching. The faculty members were incredibly supportive and understanding. Even if a student had trouble understanding English, they made sure to explain concepts in Hindi as well.

The subjects covered in the coaching were Maths, Physics, and Chemistry, including topics from Organic, Inorganic, and Physical Chemistry. The coaching sessions lasted around 4-5 hours initially, and they were incredibly helpful. But before exam times we used to live in coaching for around 8-9 hours. Sometimes, Mitesh Sir himself, the founder of MRC, would personally take Maths classes, which were particularly insightful and engaging. We had regular tests every week and quizzes after lectures to know our understanding. Additionally, mock tests were conducted in the labs to simulate the actual exam environment.

During my preparation, I made use of coaching packages provided by MRC, as well as additional study materials. I solved RD Sharma’s basic Maths problems, HC Verma for Physics, and Himanshu Pandey for Organic Chemistry. For Inorganic and Physical Chemistry, I referred to NCERT books. The coaching environment was vibrant, with many students gathered for JEE preparation. The mock tests conducted were akin to JEE mains exams, providing us with invaluable practice and preparation.

One of the standout features of MRC Classes was their excellent doubt-solving sessions. During lunch breaks, we could approach any faculty member and ask our doubts. Moreover, dedicated doubt sessions were held in class for all students, ensuring that everyone’s queries were addressed comprehensively.

The mentorship quality at MRC was exceptional. The faculty members not only taught us academic concepts but also provided guidance and motivation whenever needed. Their constant support played a significant role in boosting our confidence and keeping us motivated throughout the preparation journey.

Overall, my experience at MRC Classes was immensely positive. I would rate it 4 out of 5. The coaching institute not only helped me strengthen my understanding of core subjects but also instilled in me the confidence to tackle challenging problems effectively.

Thanks to the coaching at MRC Classes and my dedicated self-study efforts, I achieved a remarkable 94th percentile in my JEE Main exam, marking my best attempt.
