My Journey From Class 8 to Class 9

Hello everyone,

So most people talk about their journey in Class 10 and Class 12 but today I am going to share my story of what I had to face during the transition from Class 8 to Class 9.

So it was summer time and my result of Class 8 was out. I got a decent percentage and ranked in the top 3 but this year everything was not gonna usual it goes every year I was admitted to the same school and continued my studies. It is because my school is for only Nursery to Class 8 Standard Students and now I am promoted to Class 9. I can be admitted to the same school but the branch is different and that branch is so small and not too good (my opinion ).

I am from a middle-class family in Varanasi. So I can’t afford ICSE schools like W.H Smith, Sunbeam, St. Johns etc.

So I have a few options left. There was also a problem since I am the only child, my parents were too concerned about me and they didn’t want me to go to that school which is far away from our home.

That’s why I have 3 options left at last

  • Central Hindu School (CHS) Boys (CBSE school which has a great hype in Varanasi)
  • CCS (Same school but different in which I don’t wanna study)
  • Mukularanyam English School (the School in which my friend studied at that time and it’s close to our house)

Since the fees of CHS are very low and it’s not far from my house, it became my first choice. So I started preparing for the CHS entrance exam. The exams were conducted by BHU so we had to fill out the forms from cyber because at that time I didn’t know too much about tech. The form was quite expensive at that time (600 Rs). I got about 2-3 months to prepare for it and I started preparing it from a book and some important study stuff.

Now, my exam date has arrived and it was in the Commerce Section at BHU. It was my first time to give an OMR test so I was a little bit nervous

The exam didn’t go like that I thought because of my mistake that I gave more time to the maths section which killed my time to have 5-10 questions left.

I became very demotivated because I knew the answers to some questions but was unable to do them due to the lack of time.

After the exam, my father was outside waiting for me. After that, we ate dosa and drank the famous VT Cold Coffee and came home back.

After some days the result came and I found out that I just missed the seat by 6 marks.

So ultimately I got to know that time management is very important, it could even stop you from succeeding if you don’t manage your time.

I felt too much regret and thought that

So what’s next I am admitted to Mukularanyam English School (Plan B) and continue my studies.

I will tell my Mukula journey in the next post.

If you still reading, thank u so much Bhai/Behen for giving your time.

Thank you
