My Journey of Resilience and Success

I reside in Ghaziabad and am in my 2nd year of Engineering. My story begins with the end of my 10th CBSE Board in March 2020 and the onset of COVID-19. Despite aiming to become a Civil Servant, I wasn’t prepared for JEE. On 19 September 2020, my father had an accident, leading to a traumatic hospital experience. Despite being physically unharmed, he lost sensation in his right leg. After enduring hospital visits and uncertainty, he passed away on 2 October 2020.

The following months were a blur. I barely studied for my half-yearly exams in December and my finals in March, scoring only 47%. My mother was heartbroken. My 12th year started, and I attended coaching classes online until August. I returned to school in September, but only for 10 days before exams. I struggled with my pre-boards, scoring around 70%.

In December 2021, I took the Term I exams, scoring 83%. Despite my improvement, I wasn’t satisfied. I dedicated myself entirely to studying for Term II, which began on 7 May. Just before the exams, I contracted eye flu but managed to prepare in time.

I finished my boards on 7 June. During this period, my mother encouraged me to pursue engineering for job security, and I reluctantly agreed. I got into KIET, Ghaziabad, through management quota, scoring 96% in 12th and 97% in PCM. My success led to a celebratory visit to my school with my mother, where my class teacher, who had doubted me, congratulated us warmly.

Now, in my 2nd year, I’ve won 2 hackathons, and multiple coding competitions, and hold top rankings on Coding Ninjas and At-Coder. Although I cleared the JP Morgan interview, I couldn’t join due to exams.

This story is a testament to resilience. Despite numerous challenges and tragedies, I’ve persevered and excelled. From losing my father to struggling academically, I’ve faced adversity and emerged stronger, pursuing my dreams with determination. My academic achievements and passion for technology highlight my hard work and dedication.

For my readers: Keep striving for excellence and never lose sight of your dreams. Your future is bright, and with perseverance, you can achieve great things.
