Nagarro Interview Experience

Shortlisting Process

I was in BCA 3rd semester 2020, and there is an opening in Nagarro, Gurugram as an intern, and from my college total, 100 students applied for this role. The main benefit of this role is that if you perform well, you will get a PPO.

It was my first company experience, and I am a little bit nervous because I have no knowledge how to apply, how to build a resume, and all the other things. I took advice from my senior and professor and gained some confidence.

The company uses AI to select resumes, so I have to make my resume ATS-friendly.

Out of 100, only 10 students from my college resume were selected, and now the next part is the exam.

Assessment

There were four rounds, including aptitude, coding, GD, and HR.

1) The aptitude part was very easy because most of the questions came from menstruation and percentages. Aptitude has mainly four sections: quantitative, logical reasoning, and English.

The toughest part for me is the English section because their comprehension is a little bit tough for me. But somehow I cleared the aptitude test and got a link for the coding round.

2) The coding round was not easy. There were 3 questions, and the questions were based on LinkedList, Array, and Substring.

3) After the learning and coding round, I received mail for GD.

There were four candidates in one group, and we all had a topic for discussion.

The “Rural vs. Urban” topic was given to us. This discussion lasted 30 minutes, and every candidate gave their opinion.

4) From my college, out of 10 students, only 4 were selected for the interview round, and I am one of the luckiest.

Interview

I was a little bit nervous because this was my first life interview.

The interviewer sees that I am getting nervous, so he makes me comfortable by asking a very simple question about myself, and then he asks me about my family, and then he says that if you give an answer to that question, the interview is over; otherwise, it lasts for long hours.

So he asked me that question. The question was, “How do I find the IP address and host name of your system?”

I answered that we run a command on the command prompt, “ipconfig,” and for host name, we go to System Settings, and under About System, the name of your device is your host name.” Then he said very well. The interviewer was impressed by my answer and said that this question is not over. Can you write a Java program to find the IP address and host name of your system?

I wrote that program, and the interviewer was impressed by my answer and said we would meet in the office.

Result

The interview ended, and the next day I received a selection letter from Nagarro.

Only two students got selected.
