rtCamp Interview Experience Web Engineers (PHP (On-Campus) 2023

Selection Process:

For rtCamp, there’s no coding test involved. Instead, they shortlist candidates based on their GitHub profiles. It’s essential to have an active GitHub profile with a good number of projects. Projects related to PHP might have better chances of getting shortlisted. After the shortlisting, there are two rounds of interviews.

Round 1:

In our college, 25 students were shortlisted. The interviews were conducted online. When your name was called, you had to join a meeting where a panel of 2-3 interviewers awaited. They bombarded you with questions, testing if you knew the answers or not. They focused on topics like git/GitHub version control commands. Then came questions related to the web, like memory management in browsers, caching, and browser networking. I was prepared for the git/GitHub questions and managed to answer them satisfactorily. However, the web-related questions were tricky, and I struggled to tackle them, which prevented me from advancing to the next round.

Round 2 (Technical + HR):

Although I didn’t participate in this round, three students were shortlisted. It took place immediately after the first round. They delved into topics such as projects and HR inquiries and went deeper into web-related questions. After a week, the results were announced, but unfortunately, no one was selected. It seems they were quite selective in their interviews. Best of luck if you’re planning to appear in it.
