Safesend Interview Experience for Software Engineer (On-Campus)
Safesend is a tax automation company mostly U . S based , they work on various tech stacks , and the office in india is in Bengaluru near Koramangala.
Internship – 3 to 6 months with a stipend after graduation full-time.
The Drive Consisted of 4 rounds:
Round 1 [ Registration]
All Engineering branches were eligible Except civil and mechanical, it was also open for EEE (electronics and electrical engineering) students.
Eligibility criteria – 10th 85% above , 12th – 80% above , Eng – 7 – 7.5 cgpa above .
We were asked to upload resumes as well.
Round 2 [ Coding Test ]
Around 600 Students took up the test . The coding test was pen – paper based , the booklet were of 4-5 different sets , and each booklet consisted of different questions , each booklet had 10 – 12 questions, all of them were based on pure computer science.
Questions break down:
- 2 – javascript
- 2 – predicting the output (no options)
- 3 – implementation of data structures based on different use cases(should write the code)
- 2 – oops concept (asked to explain the concept and implement)
- 3 DSA Questions(concepts included linear data structures and non – linear upto trees).
Round 3 [ Technical Interview ]
Around 35 – 40 students were shortlisted for the next round.
The interviewer was friendly and encouraging .
Questions asked were:
- Introduce yourself, Specialization, Projects, Why Electronics and computer Eng – basically he was getting to know how much interest i have in software domain.
- javascript questions – Threading, Process, Functions.
- Oops question – Abstraction, inheritance etc.(they will have the answer booklet of the candidate and ask you to explain the code you have written.)
- Time complexity and space complexity.
- 2-3 dsa situation based questions.(you are supposed build the logic and implement the code) – they were checking on the approaches you take to solve the question and you know your basics well,and your problem solving Ability.
- Testing and debugging.
Round 4 [ HR interview ]
Among 40 candidates 12 were selected for H R round.
Questions asked were:
- Introduce yourself.
- Future plans.
- How well you fit into the company.
- Knowledge about the company(brief).
- Leadership skills.
- And a situation-based question.
