Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam Campus Experience

Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (Women’s University), located in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. It was established by N.T. Rama Rao sir in the year 1983 to promote higher education among women and to empower them through academic excellence and personal development.

The university was named after the goddess Sri Padmavati, symbolizing wisdom and prosperity and it aims to provide a supportive and enriching environment for women to achieve their educational and professional goals.

Hello Readers, this is the journey of my first B . Tech student. Let’s step into the vibrant world of SPMVV through the eyes of a first-year student.

The moment I stepped into the campus I felt like I was in the lap of nature. The surroundings were full of greenery. Our campus is green, it is full of beautiful plants and trees. I think the first impression is the last impression. When coming to my first opinion on this campus was just awesome. I like the environment of the campus.

I got admission into this university through EAPCET into the CSE branch. The faculty here are highly qualified, supportive, and friendly. They provide a mentor for every 20 students from our faculty. The mentors monitor our activities, support, and motivate us. And we are allowed to share our problems and complaints regarding classes, college, and hostel also. In this college, there are so many disciplines are there. There is equal importance to all branches.

Coming to the amenities, which are provided to the students for their professional growth. There are so many facilities provided on the campus like the University library, a college library, a Health center, a physical department, a gym, etc. A s CSE student labs play a crucial role where theoretical knowledge is converted into practical. The computer labs provided here are very good with well-trained lab assistants and technicians. The other labs like physics and chemistry were also good. Our university provides a very safe and secure environment to study

Learning from ALL: Hostel Encounters:

I have never stayed in a hostel before, it was my first experience staying in a hostel. The hostel was good but it’s not the same as home. In the hostel, I am living with 6 people in my room including me. All are from different places and with different mindsets. I have to live with them if you like them or not. For me staying away from home is a little bit difficult, but I have to stay here. In the hostel, you may find like-minded people also. I decided one thing which made me stay here is I should use my time fruitfully to fulfill the purpose why I am staying in the hostel. When coming to food it was ok but nothing matched the taste of the food prepared by my mom. Then some lines strike my mind they are “Eat food to survive, but don’t survive to eat food”. In the hostel, I made some memories both good and bad. Here I learned to take both good and bad equally.

Academics:

In my previous academic experience, I was a merit student in intermediate, and I am committed to maintain the same high standards here as well.

Events and Fests:

Our university organizes both technical and non technical fests which consists of various competitions related to both technical and non technical skills. It provides a best platform for the students to showcase their talents in various fields.

Recently, Our university conducted 2 national level fests one is technical ( Celestra 2k24)and the other is non technical( Virinchi 2k24) which were organizes by the students . In these fest students from various universities and colleges are participated.

I am pleased to share that I won prizes in both the events.

Placements:

Multi National companies like Amazon actively recruit students from our college.

The average package is around- 4-5 LPA

and the highest package was around -15 LPA

Conclusion:

In conclusion I want to say one thing that I understood here is you should learn skills and improve your practical knowledge. It was more important than your academic score. Getting good GPA isn’t matter if you don’t learn skills.

I want to give a suggestion to the readers is ‘Don’t run for academic score, instead of it gain some practical knowledge and learn new skills”.

But don’t neglect your studies, just try to maintain at least 75 percentage.

Let’s see where this journey goes and make the most of the years ahead….
