TATA Elxsi Interview Experience (On-Campus) 2024

I am a CSE background student and had applied for TATA ELXSI on-campus and I am currently working as an Intern here. The selection procedure that I went through is as follows-

• 90 mins online test
• 60 Verbal, analytical & logical questions
• 2 coding questions (medium – difficult level)
• No negative marking

After 2 days of round 1, the eligible student list for round 2 was out.

• 30-45 mins face to face interview
• Explain all OOPS concepts & give a merged code including all the concepts
• Code for reversing string & check palindrome without extra variable
• Difference between volatile & non-volatile memory & example
• The time complexity of different sorting algorithms
• Check whether a string can be formed from a given string text without character repetition or not.

Immediately after round 2, I got an email that I was selected for the HR round which was scheduled within 1 hour.

• 30 mins face to face interview
• Which movie have you seen recently and describe any lesson that you got from it?
• What is an interesting fact about Elxsi?
• Introduce yourself without telling about your name & education or qualifications
• A short quiz question: A farmer has 2 bags, 50 coconuts in each. Each bag’s max capacity is 50 coconuts. The farmer goes to the city to sell them & passes 50 toll gates. He has to give 1 coconut from each bag at every toll gate. So what is the maximum no. of coconuts that is left with the farmer to sell?
  Ans- till the 25th gate let us give 1 coconut from each bag. At the 25th toll gate, we put all the coconuts into 1 bag and kept giving 1 coconut for the remaining toll gates. So total remaining coconuts = 25 (100-50-25)

Within 10 minutes of the HR round completion, I received a mail of selection for an internship offer. I received the letter of intent within one week and the onboarding started after 2 months ( January) slots.
