Techila Global Services Interview Experience

In this article, I want to share my selection process through the on-campus drive of Techila Global Services for their Career Catalyst Program.

On March 2, 2024, delegates from Techila Global Services, Bareilly, visited my college campus for the highly anticipated drive. The day commenced with a 30-minute pre-placement talk, during which the delegates provided invaluable insights into the company. They also outlined the various stages of the selection process, setting the stage for what was to come.

Round 1: Written Test
This segment comprised 10 aptitude questions designed to assess our logical reasoning skills, followed by 10 questions covering HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals. To top it off, there were three coding questions, requiring us to write code for at least two to progress to the next stage of the selection process.
I successfully solved two coding questions, paving the way for the next stages.

Round 2: Group Discussion
In this round, we engaged in a group discussion on the topic “Is Setting Deadlines for Work Beneficial or Detrimental?”.
Despite my apprehension due to my less-than-perfect communication skills, I attempted to contribute to the discussion. However, my efforts were marred by fumbling, and I noticed the evaluator from Techila marking a cross next to my name. I felt disheartened and underconfident, I feared I wouldn’t progress further in the selection process.
However, to my surprise and relief, my name appeared on the list of selected students for the subsequent rounds. It was revealed later that the evaluation considered both the written test and group discussion scores, leading to my selection despite my performance in the discussion.

Round 3: Technical Interview
I faced a technical interview conducted by two interviewers from Techila. The interview commenced with a request for my introduction, followed by a series of DBMS-related questions:

  1. How can we link one table with another in the SQL database?
  2. What are Primary key and super key?
  3. What is Transaction in DBMS?
  4. Write a SQL statement for retrieving the student from the student table whose phone number is XYZ.
  5. What are Normal forms in DBMS?

Confidently, I tackled each question, providing satisfactory answers that demonstrated my understanding of database management concepts.
In the subsequent phase of the interview, I faced a series of JavaScript-related questions:

  1. What is the difference between var and let?
  2. What is the difference between NULL and undefined?
  3. How familiar are you with ReactJS?

Confidently addressing each question, I showcased my knowledge and understanding of JavaScript concepts and ReactJS.
The interviewer then delved into my proficiencies, leading to further questions:

  1. How can we read and write in the file?
  2. What is the latest version of Java?
  3. Is it possible to print “Hello world” with a single print line in Java (with any of its versions) like we can do it in Python?

This segment of the interview further showcased my technical expertise and adaptability across various programming languages and frameworks.

Round 4: HR
In the final round, I underwent a telephonic HR interview conducted by a representative from the Pune branch. The interview encompassed a series of questions aimed at gauging my suitability for the role:

  1. Introduce yourself.
  2. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
  3. Tell me about your top three achievements.
  4. Are you comfortable working from the office?

Following the conclusion of the interview process, I eagerly awaited the outcome. After a week, I received the long-awaited selection letter via email, along with the exciting news of my joining date. This marked the culmination of a rigorous yet rewarding journey through the Techila Global Services selection process.
