Value Lab nterview Experience for SDE | On-Campus
First of all, there was a selection based on a percentage. Only those candidates were allowed to appear for exam those who have 75% in STD 12 and STD.10. 8cgpa or 75% was required in BTech.
Around 200 students selected out of 600.
Round 1:
It had MCQ on Verbal Reasoning Quants Mcqs on Technology like DSA, C, Java, and then there was a coding round of 15 mins to solve the pattern based on the number diamond. Some colleges also got parallelogram patterns to solve.
Tech MCQs were a little hard. I was not able to solve the pattern as the time given 15mins was very little.
But I cleared round1 due to a high score in my Mcqs. Only 35/200 cleared the first round.
Then we had 2 rounds of technical interviews the next day.
Round 2: It was completely theory-based. He asked questions on java, DBMS, SE. He asked about my projects. He asked me if I had worked on adv java, servlets, JDBC, etc. He told me to explain Oops concepts in detail. Then asked about exception as well as exception handling.Difference between C and Java.
I simply told that no. But gave a reason that I’m interested in Security, SW development, and the web. Also, I was learning a new language like python and working on the back end. So he started asking about reactions on databases, SQL queries, etc. I answered everything. He was very impressed. He wished me all d best for the next round. After 30 mins I got a call for round2. Only 25/35 got selected for interview round2.
Round 3: It was only coding. He asked me to implement merge sort.
Time:15 mins
I was not able to run it but explained my logic. He was convinced. Only 17/25 got selected. And I was one of them. I got a Software Developer role in Value Labs.
Thank you.
