VIRTUSA Interview Experience (Hackathon)

My journey through the job process with Virtusa was an enriching experience filled with challenges and opportunities for growth. It all began with a written test comprising six coding questions, where the criteria for advancement required solving at least five questions with 100% successful test cases, and one question with a minimum of 75% successful test cases. This initial hurdle sifted through a pool of approximately 125,000 candidates across India.

The second round, another written test featuring five questions, demanded perfection with 100% successful test cases for each. This stringent criterion further narrowed down the pool to a mere 26,000 individuals. From there, the top 100 candidates were selected to participate in a hackathon held at Virtusa’s Hyderabad branch.

The hackathon spanned an intense 36-hour period, during which Virtusa provided all necessary facilities, gadgets, and support. The company’s hospitality and care for the participants were evident throughout the event. Our task was to develop a project based on the provided SRS document using the languages provided. We underwent project reviews and technical interviews during this time.

Following the hackathon, I received an invitation for a HR interview within a week, and shortly after, I was delighted to receive the offer letter from Virtusa. The coding questions encompassed various topics, including arrays, recursion, trees, graphs, and DSA, making the entire process both challenging and rewarding.
