Virtusa Interview Experience (On-Campus) 2023

Virtusa company visited our college for full-time employment. The selection process consists of three rounds

  • Written Test
  • Technical round 
  • HR

Round 1: Initial Technical Assignment: Duration – 210 mins

  • It started with Aptitude( 20 Questions ), Pseudo codes( 10 Questions ), Communication (10 Questions ), computer fundamentals( 20 Questions ) mostly they covered Data structures, Object Oriented programming, OS, DBMS.
  • Coding ( 4 Questions ) – basic questions on strings and arrays(easy)
  • Power Coding ( 3 Questions ) – questions on dynamic programming and tree(medium to hard)

I have solved 3 coding questions out of 7. The very next day, I received a mail that I got selected for round 2.

Round 2: Technical round: Duration – (25-30 mins) When I entered the room, I greeted her with a good smile.  she asked me to introduce myself. As I’m from an ECE background, her first question was ‘Why software’. questions asked by the interviewer : 

  • What are logic gates, their truth tables, and diagrams?
  • Explain sorting Techniques.
  • Difference between heap sort and bucket sort.
  • Explain searching Techniques.
  • asked me to write a logic for 3-4 SQL queries
  • What are the different types of joins?
  • Difference between Primary key and foreign key.
  • Asked me to execute the code for Armstrong number and prime or not.

Shortlisted for round 3.

Round 3: HR round: Duration – (10-15 mins)

  • Tell me about your family.
  • what programming languages are you familiar with?
  • Have you participated in any coding contests? (like CodeChef, leetcode, codeforces)
  • Have you done any internships? 
  • Are you ready to relocate?
  • Are you ready to sign an agreement (2 years bond)?
