Anna University Admission Experience

Mindset and Struggles!

2021! Popularly known as COVID Batch. According to every other batch students and public’s opinion we were so lucky. Of course that’s correct but not in all aspects.

Yeah! I’m gonna share my personal experience representing all the COVID Batch students. After the completion of my high school, I’ve been shifted to a popular school which was well known for its best coaching for my higher secondary. Though most of the students had the experience of shifting places I struggled a lot to cope up with the new environment, people and even the syllabus, which I’ve never dreamt of would change my life. Yes, it had pulled down my 12th grade to the depth of the hell.

As I said I belonged to 2021 batch in which my 11th grades played a major role in deciding my 12th grades in which I couldn’t give my best. Not only me most of my fellow mates of my Engineering degree had faced the same issue. I think you’ve got my previous point. Yes! I’m currently pursuing my Engineering degree who struggled a lot to cope up with the first group as major on higher secondary. That’s not quite surprising right?

Journey towards Engineering:

After my board results, i.e. Once our batch has been announced as all pass, I have been given my me time to decide what I wanna pursue. I came up with B. tech Biotechnology as my choice in one of the top deemed university and I’ve applied for that and we were waiting for the offer. But my parents were not that much sure that I would get my admission there for my grades in board. And so we have got admission in a college affiliated to Anna University which doesn’t poses the course which I’ve decided to choose. So I took Electronics and Communication Engineering as my major and the admission was confirmed.

Meanwhile the next day after this admission process got over I got my offer for B. tech Biotechnology on that deemed university which I applied for and I couldn’t believe has happened because of my JEEE score. That day I was the most happiest but it turned into a tragedy within an hour. Yes! as every parents has the fear about the course their child gonna pursue my parents too had the same fear and so they gained some knowledge from the alumni of that university who pursued the same course, which had changed our mindset and that has become a biggest turning point in my life.

If you don’t struggle to choose what you like, you’ll be forced to like what you choose!

Admission Process:

As I’ve mentioned earlier I got my admission confirmed in a college Affiliated to Anna University and after lot of discussions about the course I wished to pursue in that deemed university, I have been made to relinquish my decision.

On mentioning about my admission on Anna University, the counselling process undergoes 5 consecutive rounds based on the the cutoff scores. On my application for counselling I have got my turn for the 3rd round and my parents were sure that I wouldn’t get a good course on this college also they were not ready to send me out of station. So they have decided the college and also sure about that I can not have a counselling seat to pursue my degree in that particular college.

At last with no other delay we decided to get an management seat to get my admission in that college.

Fee Structure And Admission Confirmation:

On such a situation the fee structure of the management seat was 40,000 more that that of the counselling seat. Yes it was around 1 lakh per year for four complete years.

It was quite huge for my family condition though my parents proceeded with no other thought only to make my future brighter. After the complete document verification process we need to pay the complete fee for the kick start year to confirm our admission.

After all the process finally I’ve got my admission on that college affiliated to Anna University majoring on Electronics and Communication Engineering. Now, I’m a pre final year student at the college where I’m trying hard to upgrade myself to make my parents proud.

Experience and Motivation!

Though this is not my dream I’ve decided to upgrade myself in this domain and I’m doing my best in it. I’m pursuing my degree with fullest hope and very good grades and also upgrading myself by participating in each and every co-curricular activities and hackathons even in this type of challenges by which I could encourage the future aspirants.

So from my experience, dear future aspirants! please decide on your own. Though most of the people share their knowledge about the course and the place, even about their experience in it you may gather all, listen to them but be sure that the decision is completely yours. Because each of us shine in our own way.
