Happiest Mind Interview Experience (On-Campus) 2024
Hello Everyone, I am a Final-Year Student of Pranveer Singh Institute Of Technology. I applied for the job post of Software Engineer through my college Job Portal. After a few days I received the mail for the assessment and the hiring process goes according to the following steps
Round 1: Online Test
Duration:- 90 minutes
Difficulty Level:- Easy
Details of Test/Modules:- The test was divided into 3 sections
- Aptitude
- Technical
- Coding
Aptitude – It consists of 30 questions that need to be solved in 30 minutes and the questions are from Quants, Verbal, and Reasoning. The overall difficulty level of aptitude is easy-medium
Technical – It consists of 10 questions that need to be solved in 10 minutes where 5 questions are of simple DSA and the remaining 5 is like case study or system design. The overall difficulty of this round is easy-medium
Coding – It consists of 2 questions that need to be solved in 50 minutes where the 1st question is very easy it is of simple string where we have to convert the entire string into lowercase and the second question is a little tricky as it is based on topological sort
Round 2: Technical Interview
My technical interview was scheduled at 4:15 and done at Microsoft team. It goes around 30 minutes and the interviewer asks me the following questions
- At the first interview asked me to introduce myself
- Then he asked me about my projects like what projects I have developed till now as I have mentioned 3 projects in my resume I told him about it
- After that he asked me in which coding language I used to code I told him that I can effectively code in C++ and had solved various DSA questions using it then he further asked me about my preference over Python to which I replied I could code in Python also but my efficiency lies toward cpp so it’s like if in python I am a beginner than in cpp I am an intermediate
- After that, he asked me some blockchain and machine learning questions as my major project is of machine learning and blockchain
- Then he aksed me some the basic cpp question basically based in the syntax of the cpp
- After the he jump over to theoritical subjects like:- What is OOPs , What are the features of OOPS, What is inheritance , What are the difference type of inheritance , Difference between multiple and multilevel inheritance
- At last he gave me two coding question to solve
1. Take an array from user and store the elements and frequency into the hashmap
2. Given a hashmap print all the keys in the hashmap
Round3: Managerial Round
My managerial round was scheduled at 4:15 on 24/July/2023 conducted over mircrosoft team. It goes around 45 minutes. The best thing about this round is that it didn’t feel like it was the managerial round or I am giving an interview because the interview was soo friendly that he starts with very basic questions like how are you, hows is your life going, how is your family, currently where are you in college or at home, what’s your father occupation, how many brother sister you are and more similar questions.
So if I want you to give the gist about the entire round it was more of a two person having normal communication asking about each other knowing each other
At last I am able to clear all rounds as this managerial round is the last round and after that I got the selection mail from the Happiest Mind about my selection for the role. So this is all about my interview experience with happiest mind
