How to Organize Your Discord Channels for Better Navigation

Step 1: Open the Discord App

To open the Discord app on your desktop, navigate the Discord icon and give it a click.

Step 2: Create Categories, Click on “Server Name” and Select “Category”

For example: If you want to create a gaming channel then give your channel a gaming related name such as “gaming-world”. To create a channel click on “+” icon and give the details asked.

Step 5: Channel Created

After you will provide descriptive name to your channel then people can directly access it for their use.

Step 6: Set Channel Permissions

A server has many channels and they have their channels have different permissions and if you have created a channel that is professional for a specific field then you can set the channel permissions by clicking on the “Gear icon ” located next to the channel name. After you can manage the permissions in the Permissions tab.

Step 7: Create Limited Channels

If you want to keep your Discord channel organized then create some limited channel in your server and make a clear purpose for each channel so that you don’t need to create multiple channels. In the case you have already created multiple channels then merge them with their likely channels. In the image given below you can observe that each and every channel is serving a specific task.

Step 8: Use Emojis for Visualization

For specifying and visualizing each channel you can use the emojis with your channel name that are relatable to the channel name or field. There are many emojis idea that can be used with the channel names.
