IISER Berhampur Campus Experience

I am a student at IISER Berhampur where I am currently pursuing BS-MS program. this is an integrated course that help me pave my career in the research field. This field is also very demanding but the situation of a scientist in India is worse, but it has a great opportunity in foreign but I think it may be progressive in India shortly.

Now coming to my campus. my campus is not yet complete but my campus theme is very beautiful. till wherever it is made it is very beautiful. It is the newest one but still the best one from other IISERs. The faculty is also very supportive and the labs are also good. the campus may be completed within 1 to 2 years and then the lab will be shifted to our permanent campus. till now it has been there on a temporary campus, which is also good. my permanent campus is almost done with the academic building, hostel, mess, playground, auditorium, library, etc. and a few of them will be completed further like equipment, labs, one more hostel, etc.

our hostel is fabulous. it consists of eight floors. the transport system is also good. there is a timing bus to connect the permanent campus to the temporary campus.

the campus connects with all types of ways like roadways, railways, and waterways as the beach is near the campus. only for the airways one have to travel 180 km as the airport is in Bhubaneswar.

there is a complete greenery environment near the campus as the campus is made around the forest so fresh air is there all the time. mess food is also good sometimes it gets worse but maximum times it is good.

the weather conditions are very hot but at night the fresh and cool air provides relief. and the view of the climate is like heaven.

overall our campus is in a better position than others with sufficient beauty. like if you see there are both pros and cons but I think the pros are more. one will not regret it in the future if he/she has a deep interest in science and looking for a career in the research field. so one can take the IAT exam and be admitted to IISER with their hopes.
