Kaizen Infocomm Interview Experience for Software Developer

Hello, everyone! I am a Software developer. Recently, I had the opportunity to interview at Kaizen Infocomm for the position of Software Developer. I owe a lot of my preparation and success to the resources and guidance provided by w3wiki (GFG). I would like to share my interview experience and how GFG played a crucial role in my preparation.

Application Process

I applied for the Software developer position through LinkedIn. The application process involved submitting my resume and filling out a detailed form about my background and skills. Within a week, I received an email from the HR department inviting me for the first round of interviews.

Round 1: Online Aptitude Test

The first round was an online aptitude test conducted on this platform. It consisted of three sections:

  • Quantitative Aptitude: This section had 20 questions on topics such as algebra, probability, and number series. I used the Quantitative Aptitude section on GFG to brush up on these topics.
  • Logical Reasoning: There were 15 questions involving puzzles, pattern recognition, and data interpretation. The practice problems and explanations on GFG helped me a lot in this section.
  • Coding: I had to solve two coding problems. The first one was a medium-level array manipulation problem, and the second was a dynamic programming problem. I regularly practiced problems from GFG’s coding practice section, which significantly improved my problem-solving skills.

I managed to solve both coding problems and scored well in the other sections, which helped me clear this round.

Round 2: Technical Interview

The second round was a technical interview conducted via video call. The interview lasted for about an hour. The interviewer started with some basic questions about my projects and internships listed on my resume. Then, we moved on to technical questions:

  • Data Structures and Algorithms: I was asked to explain and implement a binary search algorithm. This was followed by a problem involving linked lists where I had to reverse a linked list. I had practiced similar problems on GFG, which made it easier to tackle these questions.
  • System Design: The interviewer asked me to design a URL shortening service like Bit.ly. I discussed the architecture, database schema, and scalability considerations. The articles and tutorials on GFG about system design concepts were extremely helpful for this part.

Round 3: HR Interview

The final round was the HR interview. This round was more of a personality and cultural fit assessment. The questions included:

The HR was very friendly and made me feel comfortable throughout the conversation. I had gone through various HR interview experiences shared on GFG, which gave me a good idea of what to expect and how to respond effectively.

Conclusion

Two days after the HR interview, I received an offer letter from Company. I am thrilled to start this new journey and grateful for the experience I gained during the interview process.
