LBS Institute of Technology for Women (LBSITW) in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, is more than just a college—it’s a place where women can dream big and achieve even bigger things in engineering. As a second-year Computer Science and Engineering student, I’ve experienced firsthand how LBSITW fosters a unique and empowering environment. The professors here aren’t just teachers; they’re mentors who genuinely care about our success and are always ready to offer extra support and guidance.
Dive into Campus Life
Our campus is buzzing with activities and clubs that cater to all kinds of interests. Whether it’s IEEE, GDSC, Space Club, Bodhi Club, Codestes, rAlgozenith, Web Crafters, IEDC, or NSS, there’s something for everyone. These clubs are fantastic for diving into new hobbies, honing skills, and working on cool projects with friends.
One of my favorite times of the year is when we have our intercollege tech and cultural fest, Yagna Dhruva, famously called the Queen of Fests. Our annual technical fest, Prayag, and cultural fest, Yavanika, are also amazing events that bring everyone together to showcase talents and build lasting memories. And let’s not forget our vibrant dance team and the super stylish fashion team, Ramb Rebels—they add so much color and energy to campus life.
Facilities and Everyday Life
Our library is a treasure trove with a vast collection of books, journals, and digital resources that are perfect for diving deep into research. For those of us from out of town, the hostel is like a second home—it’s safe, comfy, and full of friendly faces.
Gearing Up for the Future
The placement cell at LBSITW is incredible. They go above and beyond to make sure we’re ready for the job market, with training sessions on soft skills, resume writing, and interview techniques. Thanks to their efforts, many of us land great jobs with top companies in India and abroad.
