Another Method of Finding rational numbers between two number.
Here are the steps to find five rational numbers between 1 and 2:
- Choose a common denominator that will allow us to generate fractions between 1 and 2 easily. For simplicity, letβs use 10 as the denominator.
- Multiply both the numbers by that denominator here 10.
- Generate fractions with the chosen denominator that lie between the values 1 and 2.
Since 1 can be written as 10/10 and 2 can be written as 20/10 we need fractions a/10 where a is an integer between 11 and 19 (inclusive).
Thus, the five rational numbers between 1 and 2 are:
- 1.1 or (11/10)
- 1.2 or (12/10)
- 1.3 or (13/10)
- 1.4 or (14/10)
- 1.5 or (15/10)
