Before the Interview

Research the Facility/Organization:

  • Know the hospital or clinic where you have an interview. Get to know their mission, their core values, and their patient population.
  • Familiarize yourself with the unique unit and/or department where you will be working( e.g., paediatrics, emergency, ICU).

Prepare Your Documents:

  • Make sure you take numerous of your resume, certificates and licenses along with you.
  • In case they do, keep a table of references ready.

Dress Professionally:

  • Wear clothes that fit the professional dress norms of a healthcare workplace. This could either be a business suit or any differently formal garment.

Prepare for Common Questions

  • Consider what goals and objectives you have in your nursing career and why you are applying for this job.
  • Be prepared to talk about your previous professions, hardships, and wins.
