Elasticsearch Installation on macOS
Step 1: Download Elasticsearch
Visit the official Elasticsearch website (https://www.elastic.co/downloads/elasticsearch) and download the Elasticsearch TAR package for macOS.
Step 2: Extract the TAR package
Open Terminal and navigate to the directory where the TAR package was downloaded.
Extract the TAR package using the following command:
tar -xzvf elasticsearch-{version}-darwin-x86_64.tar.gz
Step 3: Configure Elasticsearch (Optional)
Navigate to the config directory inside the extracted Elasticsearch directory.
Edit the elasticsearch.yml file to configure Elasticsearch settings if needed.
Step 4: Start Elasticsearch
Open Terminal and navigate to the Elasticsearch directory.
Run the following command to start Elasticsearch:
./bin/elasticsearch
