Eligibility Criteria for Studying Film in the Netherlands
Whether applicants are thinking about attending film schools in the Netherlands or not, eligibility criteria set by each university vary from school to school. Some of the universities will only consider those applicants who have learned film and related studies while a lot of others are looking for basics of film, video, and photography analysis. Apart from having an artistic education, applicants may also be considered based on their visual art working experience.
Here are some eligibility requirements for specific universities:
Leiden University
The candidates must have an academic degree in film or art history at a Dutch research university, and the equivalent at another research university. As well the applicants should have knowledge of film, video, photography and media analysis.
University of Amsterdam
Students who are not from the European Economic Area must part with $17,883 annually whereas EU/EEA students only have to pay $2,508 per semester.
Netherlands Film Academy
It requires first having a bachelor’s degree in moving image, visual arts, digital media or performance arts. Those candidates who are not a native speaker of Dutch should be able to read and speak the language at B2 CEFR level.
Central Film School
Candidates should have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 for their Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and a minimum overall GPA of 2.50 for their four-year Bachelor degree.

You will be pioneering contemporary perspectives like phenomenology, film-cognitivism, ecocriticism, film philosophy, digital forensics in film, and experimental media archaeology.
