Exam Pattern of NET
This is a CBT (Computer Test), which is conducted in June and December every year. There are certain eligibility criteria, that must be fulfilled by a candidate to appear for the NET exam. The exam is divided into two parts:
- UGC NET
- CSIR NET
UGC NET: UGC NET stands for University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test. This exam opens opportunities for fellowship researchers and lecturers. In this exam, non-technical subjects are there like English, Political Science, etc. NTA is conducting the body of UGC NET.
CSIR NET: CSIR NET’s full form is the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research National Eligibility. This test is carried out in scientific subjects like Chemical Science, Mathematical Science, Life Science, etc.

NET Full Form: The National Eligibility Test is an examination conducted in India to determine the eligibility of candidates for various posts in the field of research and teaching.
