My experience:

One can get admission to NIE Mysuru for B.E courses in any one of the three following ways:

  1. KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test)
  2. COMEDK UGET (Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Under Graduate Entrance Test)
  3. Management

KCET is a state-level entrance test exclusively for the students of Karnataka. It is conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).

COMEDK is a national-level entrance test for admission to engineering institutions in Karnataka. Students of other states can get admission into engineering colleges of Karnataka by writing COMEDK.

Management seat is the payment seat that the college offers.

I got into NIE Mysuru through KCET. I wrote KCET in the year 2020 in the offline mode amidst the pandemic prevailing back then. As my course was PCMB in 12th, I had written 4 papers for KCET, which is otherwise only 3 papers (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) for non-Biology branches like PCMC, PCME, and PCMS....
