Experience of Admission

JEE Main Score:

The primary criterion for admission to NIT Kurukshetra, like other NITs, is the JEE Main score. This score is used to shortlist candidates for further rounds of admission.

JoSAA Counselling:

JoSAA conducts centralized counselling for admission to NITs, IIITs, and other GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes). The counselling process includes registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and acceptance of seats.

Choice Filling:

After registering for JoSAA counselling, candidates are required to fill in their preferred choices of institutes and engineering branches based on their rank and availability of seats.

Seat Allotment:

JoSAA conducts multiple rounds of seat allotment based on candidates’ JEE Main ranks, preferences, and availability of seats. Seat allotment results are published online, and candidates are required to confirm their acceptance of the allotted seat.

Document Verification and Reporting:

Once a seat is allotted, candidates need to report to the designated reporting centre for document verification and confirmation of admission. It’s crucial to carry all the necessary documents in original and pay the required fees.
