The set of numbers which are used to define the position and energy of the number of electrons in an atom are called quantum numbers.

The four quantum numbers are:
- Principal Quantum Number (n)
- Azimuthal Quantum Number (l)
- Magnetic Quantum Number (ml)
- Electron Spin Quantum Number (s)
