How to Apply for IIT JAM 2024?
The IIT JAM 2024 application form was released on 5th September 2023. Interested and eligible candidates were required to visit the official website of IIT Madras to submit their application forms. THE IIT JAM application form is only submitted in online mode. The officials do not accept any offline applications. Here are all the steps to complete the IIT JAM 2024 application form.
- Go to the official website of the IIT JAM 2024 at https://jam.iitm.ac.in/.
- On the homepage, look for the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) portal and click on it.
- First complete your registration at JOAPS portal by entering your name, email ID, mobile number and set a log in password.
- Once your registration is completed, you will receive your Enrolment ID and one-time password (OTP) to log in your registered email.
- The enrolment ID and password will be used to log in on the website. Candidates are advised to keep them safe and confidential.
Through JOAPS portal, candidates can interact with the IIT JAM 2024 officials, after which:
- They can apply online for the exam.
- upload necessary documents like their signature, photograph, government issued ID cards, caste certificates (if applicable), etc.
- The next step will be to pay the application fee.
- The application fee can only be paid though online or electronic modes.
- Pay the application fee through any of the electronic payment modes.

IIT JAM Registration Process 2024: The extended last date to complete the IIT JAM registration process was 25th October 2023. The last date to pay the application fee was 27th October 2023. The IIT JAM registration process 2024 started on 5th September 2024. Interested and eligible candidates were allowed to apply for the IIT Joint Admission Test for MSc courses at IITs. Through this postgraduate entrance exam, selected candidates will be offered admission to 7 MSc courses at IITs: Biotechnology, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, Geology, Physics, Chemistry and Economics.
