How to Apply for UPSC Posts?
The Union Public Services Commission administers the CSE each year in order to find applicants for various UPSC posts. Every year, the application period begins in February or March. Before submitting an application for this exam, interested individuals must confirm their eligibility. Three phases, namely Prelims, Mains, and Personality Test will comprise CSE.
Candidates are free to select any UPSC post that suit their preferences. Depending on their performance in the exam and preferences, they will be hired for a variety of UPSC posts.
UPSC Post List and Salary
UPSC Post List: The Union Public Service Commission publishes a list of 24 distinct UPSC Posts that can be filled through the Civil Services Examination. The major profiles for which are IAS, IPS, IFS, IES, etc. Out of all the UPSC posts, the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Forest Service (IFS) are opted by most of the candidates. This is due to the perks and benefits along with the UPSC salary these posts are offered.
There are two sub-categories of UPSC posts i.e. Group A for candidates chosen for All India Service and Group B for those with slightly lower ranks in organizations namely, Armed Forces, DANICS, etc.
