Managing Comments on Instagram

How to Filter Comments

Instagram allows users to filter out certain comments and block people commenting on comments that have specific words or phrases. This becomes a great option especially if your profile is about business and you don’t want people to make necessary comments on your profiles. It is the same to edit comments on Instagram.

Step 1: From your profile, tap on the dots button at the top right corner.

Step 2: Go to Settings > Privacy > Comments.

Step 3: You’ll get three options now.

Step 4: You can select the option of “Allow comments from”, this feature allows you to set the profiles only which can set comments on your profile.

Step 5: There’s also “Block comments from”, this feature allows you to straight up block comments from a particular person so no matter what they do, they won’t be able to.

Blocking is a great option if anyone wants to get peace of mind. There are certain accounts on the platform that find it good to troll and harass other people. Blocking them is an easy way to continue using the platform. Once an account is blocked, it can not search the profile of the user that blocked it nor can send a message to them. Even if they had talked to them in the past, once they get blocked, they can’t send any message to the user.
