This method will show you how to install Blender in Linux using the Package Manager
Step 1 : The first thing you have to do is to open your web browser
Step 2 : Navigate to this official site of the blender.
Step 3: Next, you have to click or select the required version that satisfies your local system
Step 4: Click download to download the package of the blender and select the export path for the launch
Step 5: Once you can see that the download is being completed then navigate to the download directory and extract the tar file using the following command:
tar -xJf filename.tar.xz
In this command:
- ‘tar’ is the command to work with tar archives.
- ‘-x’ stands for extract.
- ‘-J’ tells ‘tar’ to use the ‘xz‘ compression format.
- ‘-f‘ specifies the filename of the archive you want to extract, followed by ‘filename.tar.xz’.
Replace filename with the actual name of the tar.xz archive you want to extract.
Step 6: Now you have to navigate to the blender installed directory and launch blender by using the following command:
blender
