Two Methods for Changing Mobile Number in Aadhaar Card
1. Offline (Aadhaar Seva Kendra/Permanent Enrollment Center)
- Locate your nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra or Permanent Enrollment Center (PEC). You can find them on the UIDAI website: https://uidai.gov.in/en/ecosystem/enrolment-ecosystem/aadhaar-seva-kendra.html
- Carry your valid Aadhaar card and the new mobile number you want to register.
- Fill out the Aadhaar Data Update/Correction Form, mentioning the mobile number change.
- Submit the form along with a processing fee of â‚ą50 (subject to change).
- Provide your fingerprints or iris scan for biometric authentication.
- You’ll receive an acknowledgment slip with an Update Request Number (URN) for tracking the update status.
2. Online (For Aadhaar Registered Mobile Numbers Only)
- Visit the official UIDAI Aadhaar Self Service Update Portal: https://uidai.gov.in/en/my-aadhaar/update-aadhaar.html
- Log in using your Aadhaar number and registered mobile number. You’ll receive an OTP for verification.
- Select “Mobile Number” under “Data to Update.“
- Enter your new mobile number and confirm it.
- Upload a scanned copy of a valid Proof of Address (POA) document. (List of acceptable documents available on the portal)
- Submit the request. You’ll receive an Update Request Number (URN) for tracking.
