MKSSS Cummins College Admission Experience

I still remember the date, it was the 21st of August 2023 when my induction program began. It is a 1-week program for freshly admitted students to get familiar with the college, the clubs, the academics, etc. also gives us a chance to interact with our fellow batchmates. You can imagine it as a trailer start to your 4-year-long movie, but boy, only do we know the long procedure to get through the gates of a college, which of course right now we take for absolute granted and whine for holidays:).

If you are reading this article, I am sure then you are in the same position as exactly I was a year ago, excited, scared but more importantly not having much of an idea so let me help you today by being your guide to a small part of your journey. After you are done with your counselling and your college is finalized, you are asked to produce several documents and present them physically of course.
It’s a good time to create a folder on your desktop and keep saving all your files and documents like your Aadhar card, mark sheets, your confirmation slip, etc. You will also be required to have original and physical copies of your 10th-12th mark sheets so have that carefully filed.
After organizing your massive paperwork which will make you feel like a lawyer no less, you will be heading to the mechanical auditorium or wherever the reporting will be and gaze with awe that this is where you will be spending your time now. You will take a seat and then arm yourself with a pen to fill in your details on numerous sheets.
It is advised to keep a small pouch with gluestick, paper files, stapler to make your life easier. The next step would be to get your slips signed and biometrics and the final stage would be to get your, drum roll please, email; Now let me tell you that this would be your ultimate point of contact between the college, in fact, the only trusted one ( no dig on my friends). You will get informed about everything through your email, be it the announcements of competitions or a lost and found bottle, you will be updated.
So this is very important and ensure that you fill everything correctly and precisely.

Conclusion:

The whole process should take you about 2-3 hours, after which you can explore the campus a bit, start criticizing your canteen from day 1 or explore the hostels and sweet hangs you are going to want to come after bunking your lectures, kidding but jokes apart this is where the good part begins, this marks your official transition from a school kid to a college undergraduate where you will grow, learn and make friends for life, cheers and All the best.
