NIT Rourkela Campus Experience

I’ve done my BTech at NIT Rourkela. Regarding my campus experience, it was quite amazing. Here’s a glimpse into life at the college:

NIT Rourkela campus is quite large, so most students have bicycles, and there are many cycle shops on campus. Every year, NIT Rourkela hosts several fest such as Nitrutsav, Vridhi, and various garden fests in each hostel. The campus is home to over seven thousand people, including students, so there’s always something happening, and you’re never bored.

The campus has both day and night canteens, and there are many shops, including an aloo paratha shop, pani puri shop, and momos shop.

Regarding mess food, it’s generally good, but the quality varies from hostel to hostel. Each hostel houses more than 500 students.

The campus is very clean, with lots of greenery. It looks especially beautiful during the rainy season when the trees and flowers are in full bloom.

NIT Rourkela has several clubs that help you grow in your chosen career path. I was interested in software, so I joined the coding and web development clubs. There are many other clubs for different fields.

There are also large grounds where you can play cricket, football, badminton, and more, even at night. Each hostel has a gym and a badminton court, and every year, they conduct intra-hall competitions that include a variety of games such as chess, weightlifting, cricket, and singing.

Overall, my experience at NIT Rourkela was enriching and enjoyable, It’s an amazing college where you’ll have unforgettable experiences.
