TS EAMCET Exam Preparation Experience

Embarking on the TS EAMCET Journey

Hello, everyone!

I recently took the TS EAMCET exam, which is a crucial gateway for students aspiring to pursue undergraduate courses in engineering, agriculture, and medical fields in Telangana. I’m here to share my experience and preparation journey to help juniors who are aiming to succeed in this competitive exam.

My Preparation Journey

Understanding the Exam and Setting Goals

Once I decided to take the TS EAMCET, I realized the importance of understanding the exam’s structure and syllabus. The exam comprises 160 questions split into three sections: Mathematics (80 questions), Physics (40 questions), and Chemistry (40 questions) for the engineering stream. For those opting for the agriculture and medical streams, the sections include Biology (Botany and Zoology), Physics, and Chemistry.

Resources and Best Books

During my preparation, I discovered that the right resources and books could make a huge difference. Here are some of the key resources and books that helped me:

Mathematics:

  • Mathematics for Class 11 & 12 by R.D. Sharma
  • Problems in Calculus of One Variable by I.A. Maron

Physics:

  • Concepts of Physics by H.C. Verma (Vol 1 and 2)
  • Fundamentals of Physics by Halliday, Resnick, and Walker

Chemistry:

  • Physical Chemistry by O.P. Tandon
  • Organic Chemistry by Morrison and Boyd
  • Inorganic Chemistry by J.D. Lee

Online Resources and Coaching

Apart from textbooks, I used various online platforms for additional study materials and mock tests. Websites like Khan Academy, and YouTube channels like Unacademy and Physics Wallah were immensely helpful. I also attended coaching classes at S.R College, which provided structured learning and regular mock tests.

Study Strategy

Creating a Study Schedule: I made a detailed study plan, allocating specific times for each subject daily. This helped me cover the entire syllabus systematically.

  • Conceptual Clarity: I focused on understanding the concepts rather than rote learning, which is crucial for subjects like Physics and Chemistry.
  • Regular Revision: I dedicated the last few weeks before the exam to revision, ensuring that I revisited all important topics and formulas.
  • Mock Tests and Practice Papers: Solving previous years’ question papers and taking regular mock tests were integral parts of my preparation. This not only helped in understand the exam pattern but also improved my time management skills.

Exam Day Experience

On the day of the exam, I made sure to stay calm and composed. Here are a few key points from my exam day:

  • Time Management: I prioritized the sections based on my strengths, starting with Mathematics, followed by Chemistry, and finally Physics.
  • Handling Difficult Questions: Whenever I encountered difficult questions, I skipped them initially and revisited them after completing the easier ones. This strategy ensured that I maximized my score by not wasting time on tough questions at the beginning.
  • Staying Calm: Maintaining a calm and positive mindset throughout the exam was crucial. I took deep breaths and stayed focused on the task at hand.

Conclusion

  • Consistency is the Key: Regular study and consistent efforts are more effective than last-minute cramming.
  • Practice, Practice, Practice: The more you practice, the better you get. Make use of mock tests and previous years’ papers.
  • Stay Positive and Confident: Believe in your preparation and stay confident. A positive attitude can significantly impact your performance.

Preparing for the TS EAMCET exam was a challenging yet rewarding experience. I hope my journey and tips help you in your preparation. Remember, with the right strategy and dedication, you can achieve your goals. Good luck to all the future aspirants!
